Customers browse the files they are allowed to manage. File tools stay scoped to the hosting account, giving them a practical workspace for their own websites.

For larger transfers or a preferred desktop workflow, customers can use SFTP over SSH with their existing account when SSH access is enabled. MaxPanel does not provide separate FTP users.

Is MaxPanel a file storage or sharing service?

MaxPanel is hosting control panel software for your own server. Its file manager works with the files in a hosting account. Server storage and the hosting service come from you.

Do customers need an FTP client?

No separate client is needed for the browser file manager. Customers can upload, download and manage files inside MaxPanel. SFTP over SSH is another option when the host enables SSH access for the existing account.

Can every file be edited in the browser?

The browser editor is intended for text files and has size limits. Oversized files are shown as truncated and cannot be saved in that state. Download large or unsuitable files and edit them with an appropriate tool.

Which archive types are supported?

The built-in compression and extraction workflow supports ZIP archives. This page does not promise TAR, RAR or other archive formats.

Are deleted files moved to a recycle bin?

No recycle-bin workflow is provided. Review your selection before deleting. Recovery depends on having a suitable existing backup; compressing a ZIP is not a substitute for scheduled backups.
