Choosing the right plan for you
Choosing the right plan for you
What you'll learn: how MaxPanel plans are structured, and how to pick the one that fits how you'll use it.
The two kinds of licenses
MaxPanel has two kinds of licenses, and you can mix them:
| License | What it's for | When you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Main node | The actual control panel — websites, databases, files, customers. | Always. This is your main server. |
| Mail node (optional) | A separate server that handles email only. | Only if you want your email on a different (often cheaper) server than your websites. |
Most people only need a Main node license to start. You can always add a Mail node later if your email needs grow.
Picking a Main node plan
Main node plans differ only in how many hosting accounts you can create. Pick based on how many customers (or how many separate websites) you plan to host.
- Just yourself or a couple of sites? Start with the smallest plan.
- A handful of clients? A mid-tier plan gives you headroom.
- A growing hosting business? Pick the highest tier and grow into it.
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing portal — your sites keep running while you switch.
Free trial
Your first Main node license comes with a 15-day free trial. You'll need to enter a card to start the trial, but you won't be charged until day 15. You can cancel any time before then.
Mail node licenses don't have a trial — they start billing immediately.
How billing works
- Subscriptions are billed monthly.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
- You can change your card or cancel from the customer portal at https://maxpanel.cenmax.in.
- If you cancel, your panel keeps running until the end of the billing period.
What happens if I outgrow my plan?
You'll see a friendly notice in the panel as you approach your account limit. Upgrading is one click, and there's no downtime — you just get more headroom.
Still not sure?
When in doubt, start with the smallest Main node plan and the free trial. You can grow from there. We'd much rather you start small and scale up than feel locked in.
